UK MAINLAND DELIVERY:
Next working day delivery is available and FREE on this product if we receive your by 12 noon.
Next working day delivery service applys to most UK mainland destinations, there are however one or two exceptions ie North of Scotland, highlands and Isles.
Delivery is possible to these areas but some surcharges may apply. If you are in doubt please call our sales team on 01245 362704 for confirmation of delivery surcharges.
IRELAND & N. IRELAND DELIVERY:
This product is available for a 3 working day delivery service to Ireland and N. Ireland but surcharges do apply. Please call our sales team on 01245 362704 for confirmation of delivery charges.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
When you receive your MAXIMA™ Mattress it will be vacuum packed and rolled up inside a cardboard box. When opening your vacuum sealed mattress, take extreme care not to damage the mattress. You will need to use scissors rather than a knife to cut into the vacuum packaging - just be very careful you do not cut, nick or damage the mattress in any way.
Once your mattress is un-rolled you will notice that the mattress is around 3" deep. During the vacuum packing process, the mattress has all the air sucked out of it until it is the size you receive it at. This makes the delivery of the mattress to our customers simpler and more cost effective.
Over the next 4 - 6 hours the mattress will 'inflate' to it's true dimensions.
Once you undo the vacuum sealing, the mattress will become extremely hard to move around so it is advisable to open the packaging near to where the mattress will be used.
All memory foam mattresses and products give off a distinctive odour once opened. This smell is known as ‘off-gassing' , this is normal and the smell is a by-product of the manufacturing process. This 'new foam' smell is safe and non-toxic and does not trigger allergies, but it can bother people who are sensitive to smells.
It is advisable, if possible, to let the mattress air for a day or two in a well ventilated room before use. If the smell doesn't bother you then feel free to sleep away!
The smell will ease up after anything between a couple of days and a week or so, depending on the memory foam mattress production date, the environment you have it in, and how sensitive you are to the smell!
To help speed up the process though, here are some more tips -
- - Keep the room with the mattress in well aired.
- - Wash the sheets after the first night or two, and repeat as necessary.
- - For some, a bowl of vinegar by the bed can help neutralise the odour.
BED DELIVERY:
Delivery time will be approximately 7 working days. We may be able to deliver sooner if needed.
All of the furniture is despatched direct from our own warehouse, where it is individually checked for quality prior to leaving.
The cost of delivery is included in the price, however deliveries to Northern and Southern Ireland, The Channel Isles and Scottish Offshore will incur a delivery surcharge please contact us direct for quotes. Some parts of Scotland, AB, IV and remote areas will also incur a small delivery surcharge.
